from humble beginnings in a barn near spaghetti junction to an award winning, international success, with affordable luxury products in one in two uk households, baylis & harding’s story is one of hard work, passion and determination, founded on strong family values. it began in the swinging sixties when (beach buggy builder) david slater and (shopkeeper’s daughter) marcia simmons spotted a gap in the market for affordable, quality, up-to-the-minute cosmetics and accessories for the newly created ‘fashionable youth’ who had discovered make-up and skincare alongside music and clothes. the couple made it their mission to create a company that specialised in supplying stylish, designer-quality, luxury bath and body products that were above all affordable for everyone. using marcia’s father’s barn as a warehouse and taking their products around the country in a ‘pimped’ transit van, baylis & harding was born... they named their company baylis & harding after their grandmothers, both dedica
