the bc centre for aquatic health sciences (bc cahs) is a not-for-profit society located in campbell river, british columbia, canada and is the only aquatic research facility of its kind in the province. in addition to being recognized as a major salmon sport fishing region in bc, campbell river is central to major marine finfish and shellfish aquaculture industries. this strategic location gives bc cahs the opportunity to provide services and research in health issues affecting both wild and cultured marine species. bc cahs continues to build upon its reputation as an approachable facility where expertise and interest are available to find solutions to issues important to the marine environment - through applied science, collaborations and without bias.
