Be! Fund

be! fund is india's first non-profit risk capital fund for young people age 18-29 who live in poverty in india. be! fund is part of be! an entrepreneur, a large mass media movement of movies about hero entrepreneurs who solve big problems by building a business. our movies air on national television and each one asks young people to submit their enterprise idea that solves a local problem to the be! fund, by calling, sending a text message or writing a post-card. we invite young people with bright business ideas to apply to us and we invest in their businesses. we then measure the social, financial and environmental impact of their enterprises; and inspiring a ripple effect, we tell new stories about these new heroes through epic movies that will air on television one more time.
