bohemia. the word conjures notions of artistic freedom and unbridled creativity. to us, it is all that plus home. aldit, our factory, has operated for the last 130 years in this region of the czech mountains known for its tradition of glassmaking that began centuries ago. originally produced for utility, the artisans began to realize that glass could be manipulated as far as the mind could dream. with nature as muse, the first chandeliers echoed icicles, flora, and rock crystals. subsequently, we gain inspiration from the world around us and from our collaborators. no matter the shape or concept, each piece entrusted to our artisans is bench-made with intention from premium materials such as crystal, brass and alabaster. from our metal foundry to our design studio, we produce almost everything in house - from the parts of each fixture, to cast and finished metalwork, and to the design and formation of glass into an unlimited array of shapes and sizes. each beacon creation is
