Bear Creek Feline Center

established april 1, 2000, bear creek feline center is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non profit charity. we are dedicated to the conservation of the feline species through education, conservation breeding and exhibition. the future of bcfc is its jaguarondi breeding colony. “florida’s wildlife treasures” in an expression coined referring to the three species of wild felids that roam within florida’s wilds, those being lynx rufus (bobcat), puma concolor (florida panther) and herpailurus yaguaroundi (jaguarondi). currently, the jaguarondi is not catalogued as an indigenous florida. whether it was relocated to florida in modern times or has been here since the pleistocene, there have been jaguarundi sightings in many of florida's natural places.
