Beaver Creek Restoration

we are a 6 member senior engineering capstone team from james madison university working to restore a small creek outside dayton, va. the overall goal is to improve the quality of life for wild trout by restoring the riparian area along the banks of the creek. the project also seeks to prevent the erosion of a local landowner's farmland that could cause excess amounts of nutrient loading further down the creek as it makes it long journey to the chesapeake bay. with the help of the nonprofit trout unlimited and the local rockingham area, we hope to spread awareness about the world of engineering and provide an example of what can come from preserving the natural beauty of the earth
