bebras is an international competition / challenge in which many countries in the world participate, including the united states, canada, australia, most of the european countries, japan and more. in 2020, more than 2.4 million students participated in this challenge. the goal of bebras is to promote algorithmic thinking among students of all ages. algorithmic thinking focuses on solving algorithmic problems, in which a starting point is given and a calculation must be made, or a goal achieved through permissible actions. the allowed actions address different numbers and structures of data, and incorporate problem-solving strategies that offer problem-solving sub-problems, end-to-end computing, identifying problems between problems, and more. the problems that appear on this site do not require special prior knowledge. the necessary thing is to identify characteristics (which are sometimes hidden), and to rely on them. identifying the characteristics requires analysis of the data in co
