lately we’ve been contemplating how little by little urbanism has been losing its character of large scale master plan when it comes to transform a city. not only because one single building, one punctual architectonic element can behave as a catalyzer of multiple urban dynamics capable of completely changing the development of a town, but also it is closely related to our current cities morphology and the particular way they grow. during the last decades a new dynamic has surfaced. the form of the city doesn’t follow primarily the function anymore; against the rational principles the forces born from dreams, desire and nostalgia have surprisingly gained an unstoppable strength. this explains why the traditional urban centers have started to become so attractive to the contemporary citizen. if in the past the city’s most important goal was to attract investors, industries or companies to boost its development, today that’s simply not enough. the contemporary city is searching for somet
