because organization is a start-up non-profit that aims to provide transitional housing and comprehensive programming to adult survivors of human trafficking. there are many organizations combatting the large-scale crime of human trafficking, but there are far too few who specifically continue this work by providing rehabilitative aid to human trafficking survivors. this shortage of specialized housing programs can lead to a cruel cycle of survivors spending the rest of their lives spiraling through “the system”- or worse- ending up in the hands of traffickers again. these individuals of immense trauma need more than homeless or battered shelters; rather more trauma-informed housing to properly heal and start the lives they deserve. transitional housing coupled with thorough programming serves to support resident survivors in becoming re-empowered, secure, and self-sufficient members of the community once more. because strives to fill the gap between leaving the life of human trafficki
