annerzathe lies in annerveenschekanaal. the house was built in the style known as waterstaatstijl, one for an exceptional house style. the house, containing on the first floor guest room has views over the fields of hunzedal. behind the house is a large secluded garden with old fruit trees, a gazebo and a large terrace where, weather permitting, breakfast is served. bordering the garden is a landscaped garden landscape with a large pond with water lilies, an oriental garden, flower garden, vegetable garden, rose gardens and fruit trees which created various spheres. the house is situated in a beautiful area with many walking, cycling and canoeing. through the river carries a paddle hunze route to the zuidlaardermeer. nearby are several museums (including in assen and groningen) and restaurants, and green villages, woods and heathland.
