Bedford Express Robotics Boosters

bedford express robotics boosters (bxrb), a 501(c)(3), was organized to provide support to the bedford express first robotics team ("frc team 1023"), a varsity activity for southeastern michigan students attending bedford high school (the bedford school district is located in temperance, michigan). frc team 1023, which was formed in 2002 and has been competing since 2003, is one of over 2,000 international teams of high school students that compete in district, state, and world robotics challenge competitions. the annual robotics competitions, which begin each january with a specific challenge, are sponsored by the us foundation for the inspiration & recognition of science & technology ("first"). participating teams, including frc team 1023, have a six-week period to design and build a 120-pound robot that will compete against robots built by other teams to solve the "challenge." in addition to participating in the annual robotics competitions, frc team 1023 mentors elementary and juni
