behind the scenes virtual assistant was set up in 2018 by myself, emma mulraine. though geographically based in inverness in the highlands of scotland, thanks to 21st century tech i’m able to work remotely and have built up a roster of clients across the globe. before embarking on btsva i worked in the oil and gas industry where i was responsible for a payroll of £4+ million per month, paying clients both abroad and in the uk. following this, i was employed by an accountancy firm to process over 150 monthly payrolls, as well as overseeing bookkeeping using sage 50 accounts and quickbooks online. professionally, i have over 17 years of experience working within a variety of different sectors, with a primary expertise in finance and payroll. through a combination of hard work, constant personal development and copious amounts of coffee, in less than two years btsva surpassed my three year turnover goal. financial security is fantastic, but perhaps more importantly on a personal level
