a marine industry in lebanon revolving around floating island engineering. 30 years of research, 13 years of development. what is a floating island? it is large floating structure with a main deck 1 to 2 m above sea level, highly stable under wave action. giving the feeling of a natural island in direct contact with the sea water. what are the applications? a floating island can accommodate a complete sea resort, with a hotel, gym, nightclub, restaurant, sea sport activities like the one being currently built in jounieh. it can also be a private villa, a scientific marine base, a casino, a housing/accommodation base for offshore drilling, a coast guard base… and anything floating that can be imagined.
