belize natural energy (bne) is the pioneer oil and gas production company in belize, developing the capacity to explore, produce and market oil and gas in a cost-efficient and environmentally sound manner. to date, bne remains the only company in belize to have made a commercial discovery. bne has two commercial fields in the cayo district: the spanish lookout field and the never delay field. as of year-end 2017, belize natural energy had produced over 11 million barrels of crude oil from producing wells in the spanish lookout and never delay fields. our exploration assets include an experienced team of geoscientists and resident experts in land permitting, surveying, and geographic information systems (gis). state-of-the-art geological and geophysical software allows for the integration of data for exploration and planning purposes. bne has drilled a total of 63 wells to date.
