we are a locally-owned original in lexington, kentucky. we have 5 restaurants which include 3 different concepts. bella notte, smashing tomato, and bella café & grille. bella notte was founded 25 years ago with a focus on quality, fresh ingredients, and preparation that enhances natural flavor, allowing ingredients to speak for themselves. smashing tomato is a wood-fired pizzeria quick causal style restaurant with a focus on flavor combinations and italian cooking traditions with red oak wood, authentic italian pizza oven, and temperatures of 900 degrees bella café & grille is our newest concept with a focus on classic dishes made with the freshest ingredients and scratch-made to bring everyday dining elevated to the chevy chase neighborhood located in the heart of lexington.
