our mission our mission is to nurture each child’s christian faith as we educate the whole child in a developmental program that encourages spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth. as an integral part of the oppc ministry, the preschool offers outreach to the community’s children and their families. we believe that • each child is a gift from god and our goal is to help him/her come to know and love jesus christ as their personal savior, lord, and friend. we respect each child’s and family’s place in their faith journey. • play is the “work” of children and is the way they learn about their world and themselves. play is a natural way for children to create, invent, and discover. • each child is unique and develops skills at different rates. we acknowledge and celebrate these differences and adapt our program to be appropriate for each child’s personality, stage of development, and individual needs. • young children learn best by “doing” in a hands-on and multi
