born and raised on the beautiful island of puerto rico and looking for a better life opportunity for my daughters and my family, i moved to florida in 2014 to begin new journeys and experiences. i have a ba in business administration with a concentration in human resources, a certification as an events coordinator and i am studying to finish the certification as a mental health coach. my original work experience was in the clerical and secretarial area for private companies and the dept. of education of pr. for 8 years i worked as an esol assistant including intervention groups for spanish-speaking and low-achieving students in a florida public school. i had the opportunity to work directly with low-income hispanic families, most of them newcomers to the nation whose dream was and continues to be a better quality of life. during those 8 years apart from the vocation of teaching i advocated in favor of these families, i was a translator of confidential school documentation, i translated
