although we regard ourselves as broadly sector agnostic, benchmark search was established in 2002 to provide for the defence and security market, the railways, oil and gas. it subsequently grew and spread into other sectors including legal appointments. more recently we have built a thriving business in hospitality and retail, now our biggest sector. david montgomery is ceo and co-founder of benchmark search, and leads on all senior level searches. prior to 2002, he was chief operating officer for hanover matrix international, then the uk’s fastest growing technology search firm. before this, he had a highly successful military career, joining as a young graduate from exeter university, and taking early retirement as a brigadier in 2000. our approach to executive search . all our work is bespoke, undertaken on a retained basis, to allow us to work in close partnership to provide an interactive personal, tailor-made service. we are proud of our 100% delivery record, which is base
