welcome to benenden – a mutual community providing a range of different products but sharing the same powerful ethos. our vision is to become the uk’s leading health and wellbeing mutual community. our parent organisation, the benenden healthcare society, is a mutual, founded in 1905. its original mission in the early 20th century was to provide affordable treatment for postal workers suffering from tuberculosis before evolving into the organisation it is today: providing a wide range of discretionary services to a membership of almost 900,000 but retaining the same affordable and mutual ethos. members of our community are at the heart of everything we do and this is reflected in us being voted the uk’s most trusted healthcare provider five years in a row (2011 -2015) at the moneywise customer service awards. find out more at www.benenden.co.uk.
