ben hayyan aqaba international laboratories was one of the components of is-aseza programme, a joint project between aseza and european union commission. ben hayyan inaugurated in 15th of march 2007, and start receiving the samples in december 2007. ben hayyan has been established to enhance aqaba special economic zone authority in guiding the zone towards becoming a dynamic and attractive engine of economic growth. and also to enhance public health streamlining trade in the zone, jordan and the region. a state-of-the-art physical, chemical, and microbiological laboratories of ben hayyan offer analytical and advisory services for food and environment operating under two interdependent units: the food laboratory and environmental laboratory. spreading over an area of 4,200 square meters with 2,200 squares of well-built facilities. ben hayyan has the appropriate administrative, sample reception, storage and support facilities. with more than 7 million euros worth of equipment. ben
