Berber & Q Group
the berber & q food group was founded in 2015 by brother's josh & paul katz and mattia bianchi. berber & q, our first restaurant in haggerston, opened in 2015 and was closely followed by shawarma bar, our rotisserie and mezze joint nestled on exmouth market, in 2016. our most recent venture has led us to west london, bringing eastern mediterranean flavours to the queens park neighbourhood with carmel opening in november 2021. our food takes inspiration from pretty much anywhere we can find it, but with an emphasis on the ingredients and flavours of the middle east across the mediterranean to north africa. we favour vegetables as much as meat and fish, we like our wines natural and our cocktails with a kick. working closely with the most reputable suppliers in our industry, we source only best-quality ingredients. we cook over live fire because we believe it makes food taste better. our ethos centres around simple, honest cooking with loud colours and big, bold flavours. this also
