Berchtesgaden Microbiome Science Days

the recent hype in microbiome-disease relationships has made this a highly visible topic from basic science to clinical scientific meetings. while many scientists speculate that the human microbiome could be an attractive interception point to prevent or even treat chronic human diseases only few concepts have evolved into evaluation. the berchtesgaden microbiome science days will provide a novel interaction space between basic scientists, translational researchers and clinicians. in the format of a 1.5 day meeting we will use the intimacy of the world-class berchtesgaden kempinski hotel for an interactive discussion circle which will not involve more than 20 invited speakers and 20 young scientists. we will touch a series of important topics from basic science to clinical translation and hope that an intense interdisciplinary interaction will bring us to new ideas and plans for scientific interrogation. this is the start of a meeting series that will continue on an annual basis
