Berea College Motley Fool Investment Club

beginning in fall 2016, berea college expanded its business education initiative in a new direction by granting the selected group of students the opportunity to manage a $100,000 portfolio of equities on the u.s. stock market. the goal is to grow the portfolio to $500,000 and consequently distribute its proceeds to the operating budget of the college. beyond financial goals, the investment club's priority is to advance skills and knowledge of investing and fiduciary management of funds and spread financial literacy on campus. “the jester and jester cap logos are registered trademarks of the motley fool holdings, inc. and are used here with permission.”
