illiteracy is a major problem in developing countries like ghana as countless underprivileged bright minds are prevented from higher education and success due to their circumstances and lack of access to school supplies, textbooks and economic barriers to participate in sports. too many young people with high potential turn to destructive rather than constructive paths for themselves and their community just to survive. bergins outreach is trying to help underprivileged children in ghana achieve self-sufficiency in their education and love of sports by providing them with tennis equipment and school supplies. by providing the children with these basic necessities, they will be motivated to go to school and through sports they will be taught sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and accountability to achieve something in their lives, family and for their country.
