Berinag Tea
berinag tea was known for its flavour, aroma and colour during the british era. it was a highly sought-after tea in london tea houses till early nineties. it was made from the leaves of a wild plant which grows in many localities in the himalayas. it is now only grown in berinag & chaukori (small hill stations in district of pithoragarh) which is famous for its tea gardens established by the britishers. till late 80s, berinag tea was much sought after because of its unique light taste and colour in many the western countries. till the mid 1990 tea production was reduced but now we have re-generated this organic tea production collecting leaves from our own tea garden in village (nayal) pankhu of berinag & nearby areas. berinag tea comes graded & packed fresh from the himalayan gardens of uttarakhand.
