berkeley county ccap / loaves & fishes, in cooperation with 40+ area churches, is the church visible in berkeley county, wv. a 501c3 non-profit, charitable tax-exempt corporation. all volunteer supported and run. housed by the grace of st. joseph’s catholic church. the berkeley county congregational cooperative action project (ccap) was founded in 1983, when representatives from 16 berkeley county, wv churches organized with the purpose of providing emergency food and financial assistance to low income and underserved residents of berkeley county. in partnership with loaves & fishes, berkeley county ccap opened a food pantry to help assist local residents facing food insecurity. the partnership between the organizations resulted in the formation of berkeley county ccap / loaves & fishes. over the years, the organization's support system has grown to include many additional churches, as well as individuals, local businesses and corporations, civic organizations, schools, and oth
