the bermuda insurance institute (“bii”) is a registered charity, funded and controlled by insurance industry members. the bii facilitates insurance-related studies and organises discussions of industry matters. the bii provides internationally recognized insurance designation courses, exams, training seminars and workshops. we aim to support the professional development of the employees of our member companies, who represent the (re)insurance and financial services sectors. we also offer guidance and training advice to those seeking to enter the industry. the bii is also active in the dissemination of information regarding the innovative bermuda insurance market. additionally, the bii hosts the insurance industry awards, the industry’s premier social event. these awards were established in 1998 as a way to recognize outstanding individuals whose leadership skills and contributions to the industry over the course of their careers have set them apart from their peers. incorporated under
