hi! i’m michele bernard of bernard’s gourmet foods. we make gourmet roasted salsas. when i say “we,” i mean, my husband david makes gourmet roasted salsas. as a writer, i enjoy telling his story. together, our favorite thing to do is to share our table, our time and our talents to nourish others. david’s salsa-making days started over 25 years ago. after a visit to our great state fair of texas, he came home with a hand-crank food processor, just perfect for whipping up fresh break-time salsa snacks for himself. working in the power industry, his downtime “therapy” became gourmet cooking. before long, he developed a whole line of yummy roasted salsa offerings he liked to use to elevate the dishes he created. these gourmet salsas were a big hit with our family and friends, who more often than not, received a jar of something yummy each holiday season. in 2016, we began selling his delicious creations at our local farmers market, the mckinney farmers market at chestnut square in mckinne
