Besal Lighting Education Fund

the besal lighting education fund was established in 1983 as a nonprofit endowed fund in tribute to the late robert j. besal. mr. besal contributed more than 30 years of knowledge, professionalism and service to the lighting industry. the fund has awarded more than $500,000 to education and scholarships to encourage pursuit of lighting industry careers. administered and invested by the iesna as a part of its lighting research and education initiatives, the besal lighting education fund is made possible by contributions from acuity brands lighting, its sales representatives and employees. students on campuses who have qualified for the scholarship can apply for the merit-based scholarship through the university besal liaison. for more information on qualified schools and application requirements, please visit www.besalfund.org/scholarship.asp.
