welcome to bikram yoga bethesda! since our january 1, 2011 opening, we have been humbled by the warm welcome from the bethesda community. bikram’s beginning yoga series is a practice for all ages and levels of fitness – as a beginner, or to complement your existing yoga practice or workout. bikram yoga is a system of hot, hatha yoga developed by bikram choudhury. bikram’s beginning yoga series is a 90 minute sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises taught by bikram-certified instructors, and is ideally practiced in a room heated to 105°f with 40% humidity. for over 10 years, twice a year, bikram and his wife, rajashree, have conducted 9-week teacher training sessions. over 600 new instructors participate in these trainings every year. we have taught and practiced at many amazing yoga studios throughout the country and the world. it is our goal to bring you the very best in yoga instruction, education, studio design and community, based on our experience and your ongoing input
