blaftu is an organization founded to empower and uplift underprivileged women and young girls. we envision a world in which they are equal partners in the society. they live in a safe, sustainable environments that include adequate food, water, housing, education and health care. they possess the tools to provide a better life for themselves and their families and they hope, opportunity and ability to control their lives and futures. however, our mission is to empower underprivileged and minority young girls and women. we focus our efforts on promoting the social, educational and economical development of young girls and women including advocating for women's rights, eliminating discrimination against women including gbv, advancing women's capacities and leadership skills, promoting their participation in the decisions that affect their lives and amplifying their voices for peace and security at the national and global levels
