it’s time for permanent ocean caretakers to combat plastic pollution in our seas. we have full-time street cleaners, isn’t it time to dedicate the same effort to our city beaches and seas? founded and launched in barcelona, one of the most popular seaside cities in the world, the better ocean project aims to establish jobs for scuba and freedivers to clean human garbage from the crowded coastlines in an effort to stem the build up of plastic and other waste in vulnerable ecosystems. sea pollution affects tourism, health and has an enormous detrimental environmental impact - which is not restricted to the city but spreads worldwide. we’re on a mission to involve private and public corporations to make these kind of jobs as common as garbage collectors and city sanitation workers. sea pollution is our fault and therefore our responsibility. how can you help?? there are many ways to show your support! we need your mermaid / merman powers! join our freediving classes to learn a valuab
