bevil knapp has been a professional photographer since 1980. she has won numerous awards for both her advertising and editorial work. based in south louisiana, some of her clients include fortune 500 companies and a “who’s who” of the communications industry. during her career, she has photographed presidents, governors, heads of state, mother teresa, pope john paul ii, noble prize winners and music legends. bevil has been published in many books on art, medicine, news and current events. in 2004 she teamed with writer mike dunne to produce a visual document focusing on the importance of coastal louisiana. their book, “america’s wetland/louisiana’s vanishing coast” was published by lsu press 2005 and arrived one week after hurricane katrina devastated new orleans, southeast louisiana and the mississippi gulf coast. her new book, "st. francisville/louisiana's historic river bluff country" was released this spring by lsu press. danny heitman, celebrated author "a summer of birds" and col
