beyond art oslo (bao) is a non-profit organisation headquartered in oslo, norway. through art and with the help of incredible international artists, we raise awareness and funds for women survivors of war. the funds we collect are utilized to enroll women in a one-year educational program to learn about heath, nutrition, social and legal rights, business and finance. the graduates of these programs are eligible for a micro loan to assist them in establishing a small business. by utilizing newly learned skills, knowledge and resources, these women are able to create sustainable change for themselves, their family and their community. art has an inherent ability to surpass language barriers, working as a catalyst to connect people for the benefit of many. ultimately, our mission is through art, to create a better world. we believe that stronger women create stronger and more peaceful nations. during the last four years, we have raised more than a quarter million nok. we aim at raising
