beyond benign's mission is to equip educators, scientists, and citizens with the tools to teach and practice green chemistry to achieve a sustainable society. we envision a world where scientists and citizens enter the workforce with the skills to design and choose greener, sustainable technologies that spur the innovation economy. beyond benign was co-founded by john warner, ph.d. and amy cannon, ph.d. in 2007 as a 501c3 nonprofit to develop and disseminate green chemistry best practices, case studies, curriculum, lab experiments, and outreach activities globally, to science educators, industry, and society at large. beyond benign programs 1-day, 2-day, lead teacher and online teacher trainings provide k-12 educators with the skills and tools to implement and practice green chemistry in their classrooms. educators are presented with sustainable science and green chemistry concepts through real-world, innovative, green technology applications that foster an understanding of the economi
