born into a family of creative greats like sri pallavi doraisamy iyer (contemporary to poet saint thyagaraja and the official musician and artist at the thanjavur palace. he was a sculptor, painter, composer and musician), sangeetha kalanidhi veena sabesh iyer and kalaimamai d pattammal, it was only natural that bhargavii took to the arts at a very young age. a trained classical carnatic and hindustani artist for more than 20 years, bhargavii took to the arts as her multi-faceted career option. a trained designer, she has worked in singapore and dubai, before coming back home to chennai to set up her own design practice. at edge design her creative sensibilities have taken her deeper into other forms of expression. like art at edge, a platform for creative artists to showcase their work. it was also here that her latent eye for emotional detail and still souls was captured – as she forayed into photography with eka portraiture. from capturing the bonding, the joy and togetherness of fa
