the big community takeaway provides two course, hot meals to those in need. run by the community, for the community, we're here to help people who are struggling, for whatever reason. once a week, our team of volunteers prepares delicious, hot, fresh meals for our clients, which are then delivered from our kitchen straight to their door. since our inception in may 2020, we have raised over £51,000 in donations and have over 100 volunteers. in that time, we’ve delivered over 15,000 meals to those in need in chesham, amersham and the chalfonts , 47% of whom were children.
