Big Mouth Society

big mouth society is dedicated to the presentation, preservation, and education of historically-informed and community-minded musical and performance arts in portland, oregon. big mouth society hosts a professional-level mainstage series, presenting three to four innovative and diverse programs with distinguished musicians and other performance artists nationally and locally. in addition to the mainstage series, we hosts multiple salons (big mouth salons) where artists of all levels of abilities can practice and exchange ideas and make new connections. an event of note is the rainbow soiree, our annual giant big arts celebration. there are several chamber ensembles, classes, workshops, and individual learning opportunities for musicians and performing artists of all levels. members of the society takes on all kinds of volunteer leadership and hosting roles that deepen their understanding and commitment to the arts. ​ while we care deeply about programming, big mouth is first and foremo
