Big Sisters of Rhode Island

for over 40 years, big sisters of rhode island has been the only statewide mentoring organization with the specific mission to positively impact the lives of at-risk girls. in 2010, we expanded our mission to include all at-risk children--boys and girls with the special friendship and guidance offered by a mentor, we know that children will have a better chance for achievement, and will be better equipped to break out of non-productive patterns. the children who are growing up today will raise tomorrow’s children. teach children to value themselves now—while they are still young—and when they grow up, they and their children will thrive. the benefits to us all are exponential.
