bin donated is a chicago based organization which works with companies and individuals through its dedicated barrel network to coordinate donation drives for companies, foundations and nonprofits. we specialize in being an aggregator of in-kind donations for other chicago area nonprofit organizations (npos), thereby increasing operational capacity, helping further their missions and as a result developing the chicago area at-risk communities. we collect necessary items for npo's such as hygiene products, coats, food, toys, books, school supplies, office supplies and pet supplies. launched in late 2009, we have collected over 90,000 pounds of in-kind donations for over 60 chicago area nonprofit partners. our hygiene program partners with over 25 chicago hotels and over 55 dental offices to supply remnant toiletries and new toothbrushes and toothpaste. this partnership has resulted in over 45,000 pounds given to chicago npo's supplying more than 250,000 hygiene kits. our monthly sponsore
