binary spark studios is currently developing nearest future, a point-and-click adventure game heavily focused on storytelling and the presentation of world-class art. initially designed for mobile devices, it will also be ported over to pc and made available through steam. set on earth not far from the present, the story follows a young woman named alice as she encounters a series of mysterious events that lead her to believe that not everything is what it seems to be in the world around her. recruited by the global disease control organization, she is sent all around the globe in her search for answers, though every mystery she solves seems to unlock two more. the game relies on the tried and true setup of side-scrolling scenes with a simple, intuitive interface that stays out of the player’s way as he or she explores each chapter. conversations unfold organically, giving players the opportunity to make a real impact on the world around them, including alterations to future encounters
