bioeconomy corporation (formerly knows as biotechcorp) is the leading economic development agency for the bio-based industry in malaysia under the purview of ministry of science, technology and innovation (mosti), owned by minister of finance incorporated & federal lands commissioner. bioeconomy corporation is governed by the national bioeconomy council (nbc) (formerly known as biotechnology implementation council) and counselled by the bioeconomy international advisory panel, both chaired by the honourable prime minister of malaysia. bioeconomy corporation's key mandates:- a) act as a focal point for all biotechnology initiatives in malaysia. b) nurture and accelerate growth of malaysian biotechnology companies. c) actively promote foreign direct investments in biotechnology. d) create a conducive environment for biotechnology in malaysia.
