developed at stanford, our patented xirtam3 technology is a hybrid-hydrogel consisting of a self-assembling peptide efk8 and poloxamer 407. in a published study1 it was shown that when combined, the constituent parts form a highly desirable nanofiber network creating a 3-dimensional structure that resembles the extracellular matrix our own bodies create to heal tissue, otherwise known as a “scaffold”. the xirtam3 technology anchors to viable tissue and forms a bridge for cells to translocate into the scaffold structure, designed for cell attachment and cell dispersion throughout the network, allowing cells and tissue to regenerate more effectively. our technology can be applied in the fields of aesthetic dermatology, wound care, stem cell research, tissue engineering and more.
