Biomedical Engineering for Jimma (Bejim)

bejim is a collaboration between anhalt university of applied sciences in köthen (germany) and jimma university in ethiopia. this partnership was established in response to the funding announcement by the german academic exchange service (daad) "capacity development in the field of training for health care specialists and technicians: university cooperation & scholarship program". bejim is therefore a project funded by the daad through the means of the federal ministry of economic cooperation and development (bmz) with the aim of enhancing the ethiopian healthcare system. this will be achieved by realizing the goals of the bachelors and masters program of biomedical engineering at the jimma institute of technology (jit) to integrate additional practical training, internships and studies abroad, quality research and international partnerships as well as improving local laboratories and equipment. in doing so, the qualifications including practical experience of students can be siginific
