we aim to connect people with nature through architecture. we combine the field of architecture with a deep passion for nature. we design nature shelters, bird hides, photography hides, outdoor amphitheaters, outdoor classrooms, cabins and outdoor activity centres and much more. we love engaging with nature conservation and ecotourism projects. biotope provides a full range of architectural and design services as well as project management and consultancy, providing there is a strong environmental, sustainability or nature component to the project. “bios is life, topos is place” the name biotope comes from the greek words ´bios´ and ´topos´. it reflects our viewpoint as architects: the places we live or visit are made richer with living nature. people care about what we can connect with. for years we have been developing and fine tuning our designs with a wide range of projects built in norway and in iceland. a distinctive nordic design background combined with our deep appreciat
