biotube is committed to creating innovative and sustainable medical solutions addressing unmet medical needs around the world, established as a spin-out of the national cerebral and cardiovascular center research institute in japan. our proprietary in-body tissue architecture (ibta) can produce autologous implantable tissues with desired shape, thickness, and robustness by temporarily embedding designed molds into subcutaneous pouches. by using the inside of the patient’s body as an incubator (bioreactor), the entire formation of autologous tissues is completed within the patient’s own body, requiring no effort, time, or cost with respect for cell culture. the primary development target is the world's first small-diameter, long, regenerative vascular grafts (biotubes) for the treatment of chronic limb ischaemia. the mold for in-vivo preparing biotubes is our first pipeline designated by the "sakigake" fast-track program in japan, which is scheduled to begin clinical trials in japan
