bird advocacy foundation is a not-for-profit organisation committed to protecting birds and facilitating cooperative relationships between humans and birds. the bird advocacy foundation exist for the following purpose: 1) to be the champion of bird and bat welfare. 2) to provide direct care to domesticated and wild birds and bats, that have been lost, mistreated, or without owners. 3) to provide rehabilitation to birds and bats that have been orphaned, sick or injured. 4) to protect birds and bats from: a) being shot. b) being poisoned. c) being trapped in loose drape-over netting. 5) to advocate and educate all levels of government and the productive horticulture industry, to commit to the support of ethical and humane treatment of birds and bats. 6) to advocate and educate the retail industry to commit to the support of: a) those suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers or other key stakeholders (including government) whose practices do not include shooting, poisoning and trapping i
