Bisbee Science Exploration & Research Center

the mission of the bisbee science exploration & research center is to foster the exploration, teaching, and practice of science for the development of scientific literacy by the public and the encouragement of the scientific inquiries needed for the betterment of our lives. we have three main operations: bisbee science lab located in the san jose district in bisbee, az, the bisbee science lab (bsl) is a learning facility that offers extensive, accessible steam programming to community members of all ages. events are regularly attended and locally informed. sky island steam express rotating, locally developed mobile ste(art)m exhibits that travels to rural schools in southern arizona to provide steam programming to k-12 students in rural schools. in the last year alone, it has served over 5,000 students. backyard project: regenerative learning ecosystem ongoing project that aims to reimagine 10 acres at the bsl into a community-designed outdoor educational space with 5 steam fie
