at bite the ballot, we are on a mission to empower young people to take a stake in society, engage with decision-making and make informed choices as active citizens. our purpose is to inspire young citizens to become active changemakers: responding to ‘calls to action’ and sharing in the responsibilities, challenges and opportunities of a modern, evolving democracy. in order to do this, they must engage, understand and make the link between the issues they feel passionate about and politics. our goal for 2016 is extend our programme of activity and introduce a new changemaking curriculum that engages, empowers and enables hundreds of thousands of 16-25 year olds to become active changemakers. this will lay the foundations for every 16 year old in britain, from 2020 onwards, to view political engagement and changemaking as a habitual rite of passage.
