the exploration of contrast and balance has been a constant in my work for over 25 years. my desire to create both subtle detailing and bold statements adds to the richness of the designs. classical training in england gave me the appreciation for the importance of craftsmanship and transcendent beauty of wood in all its variation. more importantly it has given me a basis to engage in the process of designing and making furniture that has an interplay of form and function from the simple to the complex.
